Located on our home farm, Long Green Vineyard occupies the hillsides adjacent to the winery.
The limestone depressions and granitic hills that characterize Maryland’s Central Piedmont region afford an excellent microclimate for viticulture. The spring and fall are cooled slightly by the influence of the Chesapeake Bay, and westerly breezes sweep across the valley and through the vines to protect them from frosts and lingering moisture. Long Green Vineyard yields flavorful wines that are delicate and aromatic making it particularly favorable for whites, rosés, and light reds.
